Who Can Open an Account

Eligibility starts with age, and Canada makes that less simple than it sounds. Legally it is 18 or 19 depending on the province or territory, because the rule belongs to each province and territory rather than to the country. Our own threshold is 19+, deliberately the stricter one. What OnlyWin itself requires is its own decision, published in its terms, and not something we can state for you.

The Age Rules Across the Country

Province by province, the legal minimum falls into two groups:

• 19 and over. Ontario, British Columbia and most other provinces
• 18 and over. Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec

The long version: 19 in Ontario, British Columbia and most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. It is your address that decides, though nothing stops an operator applying one higher limit across the board.

The Details You Will Enter

Expect the form to want these:

• Name and date of birth. the date of birth is what the age check runs against
• Email address. usually doubles as the login and the recovery route
• Address and country. decides which rules and which currency options apply
• A password. one you do not use anywhere else

Everything else is administration; the date of birth is the field the eligibility check actually uses. Accuracy matters less at this screen than it does later — but it is decided here, since the account name has to match your payment method further down the line.

What the Form Will Not Ask For

Nothing has to be scanned or photographed to open an account in the ordinary case. Verification is a separate process that usually arrives when money is going out, not when the account is being created. So opening the account is a low-commitment step. What Happens Once the Account Exists

The empty account is worth having on its own — the real terms, the real lobby and the real payment options are all visible before a deposit. Worth doing straight away: put limits in place before there is anything to lose (responsible gaming), and look at what the welcome offer asks for in return — the bonus page has the terms.

Registration Problems and What Causes Them

A registration that fails usually fails for an ordinary reason: a confirmation email sitting in spam, a password that does not meet the operator's rules, or a date of birth the form reads as under age. If the block is geographic, retrying will not help — that is the operator answering the eligibility question. Hammering the button rarely helps — what the page says at the time is the real information.

Do You Have to Take the Bonus?

A welcome offer exists here, which is unremarkable — they are standard across the industry. Accepting it is generally a separate decision made at the first deposit, not something the sign-up form commits you to. One Person, One Account?

Operators generally treat duplicate accounts as a terms problem, and the usual consequence is closure with any bonus voided.
